La Clusaz

The locals know it and many of our guests believe it. La Clusaz is one of France’s best-kept secrets. This might sound like a cliché, but when visiting La Clusaz it’s hard to avoid it.

The secret lies with the village and how it has managed to keep its soul intact. It has achieved this primarily by continuing to be a successful working community (farming and some mighty fine cheese production!) Whilst at the same time providing it’s own special welcome to tourists with a great variety of activities right through all the seasons.

La Clusaz

With one of the shortest transfer times, (fly into Geneva) just a short hop from the UK and La Clusaz is only an hour away in our minibus. Upon arrival no one can resist the charms of the village nestled in the small valley and surrounded by prodigious mountains, with its typical French market taking place every Monday, (with clothes, excellent local food and bric-a-brac). Horse-drawn carriages can be found outside the charming central church and can be hired for a tour of the town and surrounding areas.

Most weeks, as way of welcoming new arrivals the tourist office lay on complimentary vin chaud, fire-works displays and an evening torch lit skiing descent that can be viewed from the chalet!

Tradition

The night life in La Clusaz is safe, friendly and reasonably lively with many great bars to choose from and two lively nightclubs open until five in the morning. Weekly there is night skiing, always a favourite amongst guests, where you are able to ski on the piste that runs by the chalet between 8pm and 10pm.

Chalet le Panoramic

Full Moon Party

Four times a season La Clusaz invites you to enjoy the infamous Full Moon Party, much of the piste on which the Chalet Le Panoramic sits upon is open (9pm - 1am) and there is always a good show of people enjoying skiing by moon-light, adding to the party atmosphere you will find many of the mountain bars and restaurants open and providing live music, entertainment and bbq’s! Quite an evening to remember!
