Meet their staff …

Andrew: “Skiing in La Clusaz is unforgettable… so

… I’m back for a third season !”

andre

In 2007 Andrew spent three months in Whistler learning the skills to become a snowboard instructor, an experience he dearly enjoyed.   After leaving Canada he migrated to Vassiliki in Greece,  working as a waiter at the magnificent windsurf resort of Club Vass, during which time he developed a passion for freestyle sailing, an expressive element of windsurfing.

Working at Vass gave him the perfect opportunity to surf alongside the Pros !  The season ended but Andrews passion didn’t, so he went to Dahab for two months to learn even more freestyle manoeuvres. That covered winter nicely so he could get back to Vass again!!

This time he became the restaurant supervisor and took out time to train as a Windsurf Instructor.

It was during this season Andrew met Dani and they have shared a love of windsurfing and gallivanting ever since!!

The guys met Simon, Lisa and the kids in Vass, hit it off, one thing has lead to another and now they are both really looking forward to their third season in a fantastic chalet, in a fantastic resort.

Dani: “Welcome to the luxury Chalet le Panoramic !”

dani

Having graduated in 2008 from Glamorgan University, where she studied Architectural Technology (A subject she is still very interested in). Dani wanted to do something completely different, she decided to train as a water sports instructor and so found her self in Vassiliki where she spent three months becoming a windsurf and dingy sailing instructor (and also gained un-unhealthy obsession for mountain biking and some Scotish guy call Andrew!) Summer ended and Dani found herself back in Wales where she loves to mountain bike and windsurf, during this time she qualified as a MIAS Level 2 mountain bike Leader and Instructor.

She then moved to Scotland with Andrew and worked in a bar and restaurant and went to lots of ceilidh’s! But the sun and sea was calling, so off they went to Dahab where she instructed windsurfing.

Returning to Vassiliki for the summer Dani guided mountain bikes and maintained her love of windsurfing.

Dani has also skied in Canada and can’t wait to hit the slopes of La Clusaz for yet another season!

Jesse: “Looking forward to an awesome winter in La Clusaz!”

Jesse

… and taller than he looks !!

Ever since spending a month in France while traveling in 2008, Jesse has wanted to return. An avid snowboarder, Jesse has always been drawn to the mountains. Growing up on the West Coast of Canada has given him the chance to experience some great mountains – but he’s looking forward to his first season in the French Alps!   A degree in Earth and Ocean Sciences has led Jesse to work as a geologist and has taken him all over the Yukon Territory, including camping north of the Arctic Circle.  But a great love of food and wine has meant that he has split his time between Yukon and cooking in the kitchens of Vancouver.  His favourite food to cook (and eat) is easily French food. One day Jesse will decide whether he wants to be a geologist or a chef, but until then a winter spent cooking in the mountains is the best of both worlds!

Christina: “Mountains and skiing!”

Christina_3Christina grew up between the mountains and the ocean in Vancouver Canada, where she developed a love for the outdoors.  Passionate about travelling, she has explored many parts of Europe, but it is France that she continues to return to.  She loves the language, the culture, the food and the wine.  Enthusiastic, with a good appetite for life and adventure, Christina is excited about the upcoming season at Chalet Panoramic !
